Starting at North Egmont Visitor Centre with historical, cultural and ecological background information of the area, before ascending through classic Taranaki goblin forest where mosses lichens and epiphytes feature. Just as the track begins downwards to return to the start, the bush parts and a lookout point has been established to take in the view shaft to the summit and out over the spreading farmland towards the coastline. The return route features more classic rain forest vegetation and an opportunity to pause and listen to the bird song. Some bridged babbling mountain streams close to the tracks end are one of the last features of the walk. Minimum 4 People
