Situated on the slopes of Mount Taranaki, Pukeiti Garden is our largest regional garden featuring a world-class rhododendron collection within the rainforest of the Egmont National Park. Established in 1951 by Douglas Cook, you will experience the wonders and beauties like no other in Taranaki. With views of the Tasman Sea, the garden walkway has well formed tracks and hidden gems. Take an adventure through the exotic forest were many native birds call home. For the kids, a series of fun and educational treehouses are located along the walkways to create a fantastic day out for all ages. Truly one of the top gardens in New Zealand, not to miss. The Founders Café is open for a selection of lunches and tasty snacks, so visitors can relax and enjoy the panoramic views.
