There’s plenty to see along the west coast of New Zealand, this stunning highway boost a number of picturesque towns to make your journey one to remember. This is one of the less travelled routes and one full of discovery. From the bright lights of Wellington City to the rugged Forgotten World Highway, this trip has some real hidden gems. Along the way, check out the small town of Levin. Nearby is the famous Lake Horowhenua, one of the coastal dune lake with a large variety of bird life which makes it a great place for families to feed the ducks. With the Tasman Sea coast on one side and the legendary Mount Taranaki on the horizon, your trip to Taranaki will be one to remember.
